If you have already spent some time going through the products at our store, you may have noticed that several of the items are listed as Special Order or Custom Order.
 
Many have asked what exactly that means, so we are going to try and explain in detail what happens when you place a custom or special order.
 
First off, if you are purchasing an item for a specific event or date, we ask that you contact us first, before placing your order to confirm whether we can accomodate your request.  We can be contacted by emailing sales@xtcapparel.com
 
Custom Orders may be categorized as such for a couple of reasons.  The most common reason is that an item is made-to-order by the manufacturer.  In other words, these items are not maintained in inventory.  Made-to-order items have not been sitting in a warehouse or on a shelf deteriorating over time.
 
Special Orders may include items that are imported from an overseas manufacturer.  These items are typically available from the manufacturer, but require additional time to process due to customs requirements and extended overseas shipping times.
 
Both custom and special orders each have their own unique turn around time, which we have documented on the appropriate product page.
 
Below is a list of estimated turn around times for a specific manufacturer.  Please understand that these are only estimates.  Sometimes items ship sooner, sometimes a little later.
 
Northbound Leather:  2-4 weeks
Stormy Leather: 2-4 weeks
Syren Couture: 4-6 weeks
Libidex: 4-6 weeks
Polymorphe: 2-4 weeks
Honour: 2-4 weeks
