Northbound Leather Info

All Northbound Leather (NBL) items are made to order.  We do not maintain NBL products in inventory.  Once your complete your order, we will submit your NBL product(s) to the manufacturer for construction.

We do not accept returns for NBL items.  We may accept an exchange for the same item, or in a different size if the item doesn't fit.  We highly recommend you check the Northbound Size chart to determine your size.  The chart is available on the bottom of this page.

If you must exchange the item, please follow the RMA process defined in our Return and Exchange Policy.

Important!  If you require a NBL item by a specific date, it may be possible to have the order rushed for an additional fee.  If you are interested in this rush process, please contact us via email and let us know what date you need the product by.  We will contact NBL to determine whether we can have the item ready by the date indicated. 
 
  • All measurements MUST be taken in a comfortable, relaxed position
  • Do NOT attempt to measure yourself; you will only distort the measurements; Have a friend do all the measuring for you.
  • Do not pull the measuring tape overly tight, just snug.
  • Measure OVER any clothing you are going to wear under leather.
  • If you are not going to wear any clothing under leather, take measurements with no clothes on or with very light underwear
    1. Head: Measure around head above ears
    2. Neck:  Measure circumference (completely around) at base, just above collarbone
    3. Upper Arm: Measure circumference (completely around) at fullest part of upper arm
    4. Elbow: Measure circumference (completely around) with arm extended
    5. Wrist: Measure circumference (completely around) over wrist bone
    6. Shoulder to Waist: Measure from highest point of shoulder (close to neck) down to waist
    7. Chest/Bust: Measure under arms, around fullest part of chest
    8. Waist: For pants, measure circumference (completely around) over shirt, at the height you wear your pants. For other items, measure circumference (completely around) at the same height while wearing no shirt, keeping a finger between your body and the tape
    9. Across Shoulders: Measure from shoulder point to shoulder point
    10. Thigh: Measure circumference (completely around) just under crotch
    11. Knee: Measure circumference (completely around) with knee bent at a 45 degree angle
    12. Calf: Measure circumference (completely around) with muscle flexed
    13. Ankle: Measure circumference (completely around) just above ankle bone
    14. Sleeve Length: Measure from shoulder seam to 1.5 inches lower than wrist bone
    15. Pants Outside Seam: Measure from regular waistline to floor. Stand up straight before measuring.
    16. Pants Inseam: Measure from crotch to floor. Stand up straight before measuring.
    17. Crotch to Knee: Measure from crotch to knee
    18. Cross Back: Measure from armpit to armpit
    19. Back Neck to Waist: Measure from base of neck to regular waistline
    20. Front Waist to Back Waist: Measure from fron waistline to back waistline, running the measuring tape through the crotch
    21. Hips: Measure circumference (completely around) of the fulest part of the hips with empty pockets. Usually 7 inches below regular waistline.
    22. Bust to Shoulder: Measure from point of bust vertically to shoulder at base of neck
